Rally racing straps were firstly crafted in around 60s - 70s for racing drivers chronographs to match their style. Perforated leather straps, which were lighter in weight, let air through for comfy wear, were more of a necessity, rather than a desire to bring out individuality. This collection is a tribute to The Golden Age of motorsport. Racing straps will make your watch pop with its simple, vintage-looking aesthetic, adding character and highlighting masculinity.
The top of the strap is made of the finest full-grain cowhide vegetable-tanned "Mozart" leather from Conceria Il Ponte in brown color with a smooth surface and artistically hand-painted hash pattern, that creates a rustic look. This noble color makes it easy to combine with most watches regardless of the occasion. Side stitch color may be changed in order to play with highlights of the watch. The smell is simply gorgeous.
The lining is made of undied full-grain cowhide Italian veg tan leather.
Both kinds of leather have the 1st grade, so they naturally have good quality and with proper use, the strap can last for a lifetime. With years you will love it even more as you will be able to admire gorgeous natural patina, which gives such a lovely vintage look and adds more class and character to the beloved timepiece.
Aesthetically pleasing, light in weight this strap is a perfect choice for any occasion, no matter if its a shadow run or everyday wearing. Since the strap has a perforation (which increases ventilation), it can be used even during the summer, as it lets your skin breathe.
This watch strap is tapered. It starts out wider at the lugs and narrows toward the direction of the tail and the buckle to create such a lovely curve.
The strap has hand-burnished edges. Burnishing is a technique of making rough leather edges smooth using Tokonole and a slicker. As a result - edges are smooth and shiny.
THICKNESS of the strap is 2.6mm - 3mm
PLEASE, KEEP IN MIND THAT DUE TO DIFFERENT COLOR BALANCE OF THE SCREEN COLOR OF THE STRAP MAY LOOK SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT.
